This course is the first in Defensive Skills Track. As a concealed carry citizen, you need to know how to engage a threat. Defensive Handgun 1 covers topics include legal aspects of self defense, how to draw from a holster, use of a cover garment, reholstering techniques, and more. If you are considering carrying a firearm on a daily basis, this is the class for you. This is not a beginner course.

Prerequisite includes: Introduction to Handgun and Intermediate Handgun course, or equivalent proof of training. If you are not sure, please contact Lisa prior to registering for this class. Refunds will not be given to students who are removed from class for safety or lack of previous training issues.

Equipment List: Concealed carry pistol, a rigid holster that covers the trigger guard (NO BLACKHAWK SERPAS or any holster that has a retention device over the trigger guard) minimum of two magazines, 200 rounds of factory ammunition. Cover garment optional.
